Signs, Symbols, and the Language of Spirit

I have always been deeply passionate about divination and signs. Long before I had language for it, I was noticing patterns, symbols and quiet messages woven through everyday life. Since childhood, signs have appeared for me everywhere,  in numbers and names on number plates, in films and songs that arrive at just the right moment, in certain colours, items of clothing other people are wearing or repeated sounds that catch my attention.

Nature speaks too. Heart shapes in leaves and stones, reflections and symbols in water, the way light moves across a surface, these moments are not random to me. They are part of an ongoing conversation between the seen and unseen.

I understand signs as messages from spirit guides ~ gentle nudges that bring confirmation, alignment, insight or subtle adjustment. They don’t shout, they don’t demand, they simply appear, often softly, inviting awareness.

The signs and symbols are there every day, they always have been. The difference is not whether they exist, but whether we are open to noticing them, trusting them and allowing them to speak.

Tarot itself is a language of signs. Each card is a symbol layered with meaning, emotion, memory and intuitive resonance. I have worked with tarot for over 30 years, including a daily tarot card pull that has become a quiet ritual and conversation with spirit. Over time, the cards stop feeling like something external and begin to feel like mirrors ~ reflecting what is already present beneath the surface.

Water too carries messages, scrying in water has long been a way for humans to receive insight through reflection, movement and stillness, like tarot it requires presence rather than effort, you don’t force meaning , you allow it to emerge.

For me, divination is not just about predicting the future, It is about listening, It is about paying attention to what repeats, what lingers, what gently insists on being noticed. Signs arrive when we are aligned and also when we are slightly off course, Both are very valuable.

Trust is the key, when we trust the signs, they become clearer, when we doubt them, they fade into background noise. The more you acknowledge them, the more they respond, not because spirit needs recognition, but because awareness opens the channel.

Signs are not something reserved for a gifted few, they are part of being human. Tarot cards, symbols, synchronicities and subtle messages are simply different dialects of the same language ,one that speaks through intuition, feeling and quiet knowing.

If you are willing to look, to listen and to trust, spirit is already speaking to you.
